INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Order and contact information you provide: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order history. Account information if you create an account: email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), saved shipping details, wishlist items, and notification preferences. Payment information is entered on our payment processor's secure checkout — we never see or store full card numbers. Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To process and ship orders, send order confirmations and tracking updates, respond to support requests, manage your account and rewards balance, prevent fraud, and — only if you opt in — send marketing or restock emails. We also use aggregated, non-identifying analytics to improve the store.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR DATA
MagBriefs does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with service providers who help us operate: our e-commerce and payment platform, shipping carriers, email delivery provider, and identity verification partners such as GovX for military and first responder discounts. Each is bound to use your data only to provide their service.
COOKIES AND TRACKING
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep your cart, session, and preferences working. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the cart and account features will not function correctly without them.
EMAIL PREFERENCES
Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates) are required to complete your purchase. Marketing and reminder emails are optional — every one includes an unsubscribe link, and you can manage preferences from your account page at any time.
DATA RETENTION
We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Abandoned-cart records are automatically purged after they are no longer useful for a reminder.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can request a copy of your data, request corrections, or request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing info@magbriefs.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. Residents of California, Texas, and other states with privacy laws have these rights by statute; we extend them to all customers.
SECURITY
All pages and checkout steps are served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Access to customer records is restricted, and account data is protected by row-level security rules on our backend. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
CHILDREN
MagBriefs products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email info@magbriefs.com and we will delete it.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy as the store evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders.
